20.06.2010 ~ Imagine Quebec firing rockets into the United States...

In light of Israel selflessly deciding to enforce a weapons embargo instead of continuing their 'starve the civilian population of basic commodities and solidify Hamas' hold over the peoples hearts and minds embargo' on Gaza I have decided to make a tribute to the comparisons that are used to explain to people unfamiliar with the situation in the Holy Land about the rocket attacks on the south of Israel.

First thing is first a picture which is worth a thousand words:

Now to give tribute to Israel's diplomacy I will present vague comparisons to paint Israel's plight with Gaza so you can understand it in terms closer to home.

If some kid flicked an elastic band at you...
Surely you'd break his nose and murder the nearest bystander to protect yourself.

If you lived in Washington DC and rockets were being hurled at you from Philadelphia...
You'd probably wonder what you did to piss off Philadelphians so much.

If rockets were being lobbed at you from a handful of the million and a half people you forced to live in a narrow enclave......
Surely you'd defend yourself...by using brute force and make sure the rest of the people don't rise up against these 'few' by blocking basic commodities from getting to them and thus solidify those very 'few'.

If your ancestors were forced off their land that they lived on in peace for millennia and you now live in an open air prison...
Surely you'd lob a few rockets at the people who forced you off your land and forced you to live under such conditions in the first place!
